Minecraft Vanilla revolves around providing players with the most realistic survival experience possible, as players must manage to gather resources in the natural world to overcome the difficulties. The reason for Mojang to not giving too many weapons is entirely understandable. Apart from that, all other items are not very useful in combat. All the weapons that can be crafted are just a bow, 5 swords, and 5 axes. However, a number of weapons in Minecraft Vanilla is too limited.
